Hi, we are running EPM 8.9 & tools 8.47
We need to lock the users from editing PS trees on a monthly basis for 1 week.
Is there are way to lock the PeopleSoft trees without having to change the Perm lists everytime (Users ~20). Did some research and found that PS usually locks the trees(during a tree copy or tree moving) through PSLOCK & PSVERSION, I don’t want to mess with Lock and Version by a custom process, thought of checking it here if there is any other way.
Any Help is highly appreciated.
~Thanks

Thanks for posting your question!

Here are some of the approaches.

– Hide content reference from portal navigation prior to making the tree changes. This will ensure that no user can view the navigation in the portal. (PeopleTools – Portal – Structure and Content)
– Data fix the PSAUTHITEM table to modify the user security instead of manually modifying the permission lists.

Thanks

Hi, We are facing a wierd issue for support case module where in when you add a note the case and clcik save , the note does not get save agianst the case. However if you add an attachment to the note and save. The attachment does get save in RC_CSEA_ATTACH table but the note does not get save in RC_CASE_NOTE table. Tried a lot things as mentioned below but no success. 1)Comparing the code and pages between the development environment and INT environment where it is working. 2)Clearing app server cache. Could anyone please help and provide any ideas or suggestions?

I need to keep a count of Rows inserted/rows updated in an Application Engine program and print it at the end as statistics. Since the INSERT/UPDATES happen in SQL in the App Engine programs. So, I was wondering if there is any way to keep track of no of rows Inserted/Updated?
